Introspect Mindfulness Based Coaching: 8 session recommended

Sessions focus on identifying the issues, skills development, emotional intelligence, cognitive distortions, stress and anxiety management. Mindfulness is explored and developed. This coaching approach examines what is going on under the surface and how that shows up in life. The sessions allow for opportunities to practice interpersonal skills that enhance your relationships in life and at work.

Introspect Codependency/Adult Child Recovery Coaching/Couselling: 6 - 8 sessions unless contracted for further sessions -

Sessions focus on Co-dependency and behaviours often associated with growing up in dysfunctional families with addiction present. How does it show up and sabotage us in the moment. How do we behave in more bounded ways and communicate more assertively. The sessions also identify self-care and self-soothing/regulation, as a way of overcoming dysfunctional ways of being in relationship with others. We identify what a codependent relapse looks like and how to avoid this.

Crisis Intervention Session: 90 minutes (R1150) - Includes referal to Out Patient Programmes, Psychologists and Psychiatrists specialising in Addiction and Recovery

Enneagram Discovery Coaching: 6 to 8 sessions -

Intergrative Enneagram Coaching offer an intensive and life enhancing process of uncovering our core motivations, core beliefs, stress profile and centres of expression. 

What is the Enneagram?

The Enneagram is a psycho-dynamic framework that provides a powerful model for understanding how development and integration operate in human beings. It should not be viewed as a ‘quick fix’ with a limited lifespan once insight has been reached. Rather it enables people to develop themselves over time. As a transformational tool, it support us in uncovering and exploring our essential nature ( Beingness) and integrate this aspect into our personality. Tinnitus Distress Recovery Coaching: Minimum 3 Sessions + MBSR programme advised to support mindfulness and habituation

A mindfulness based approach to work skillfully with Tinnitus and support the development of habituation to sound and ease with the condition.

My personal story with Tinnitus: Tinnitus need not be treated as permanent. I developed a sudden on-set of Tinnitus, which subsequently was diagnosed as occuring due to a low frequency hearing loss. It was devastating to imagine a life devoid of silence as a meditator, living with a constant ringing in my ears was extremely confronting. I grasped at anything which promised relief. Vitamins. Acupuncture. Even fitting a hearing aid. Masking with music. Nothing worked. I then contacted a Tinnitus professional in New York, Dr Bruce Hubbard 9 a generous and kind Mindfulness Based CBT specialist) who in one session supported my recovery journey. He encouraged me to incoporate all i already know about mindfulness, but with a few tweaks. I can happily say that Tinnitus now is mildly in the background on good days and when stressed or anxious, it rears its head, however, I am much more compassionate with myself and able to use the tools I have been introduced to by Dr Hubbard. These tools allow for perceptual habituation to occur. The mind learns to filter out the sound when it is not viewed as a threat. This takes 6 - 18 months and 99% of people eventually habituate and you should be no different.  The brain is more powerful and magical than we realize. Trillions upon trillions of neuronal inter-connections per second. Trust me, ‘limiting’ thinking is preventing millions from Habituating and I offer a supportive process to get you started in your recovery from Tinnitus.Dr Hubbard kindly shared his material and knowledge, as he shared his kindness and I am in his debt, literally.

Mindfulness in a Frantic World: Sustaining and Deepening Practice | Feeling Tone Course | ONLINE ZOOM

The aim of this course is to help people deepen their practice through exploring feeling tone. Based on meditations that are used in a retreat context, it invites participants to do short daily practices that are designed to help them to become aware of this aspect of the body and mind in daily life over 8 weeks. This course was designed by Mark Williams. Mark was a Professor of Clinical Psychology, Director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and Principal Research Fellow in the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry. Mark is one of the incredible team who designed Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) to prevent new episodes of depression.

 

Weekly Support and Insight Group: Adult Children of Dysfuntion and Alcoholism | ONLINE  ZOOM

The aim of this support group is to help people deepen their recovery through exploring emotional sobriety and cultivating deeper self-care and compassion. The essence of emotional sobriety is good self-regulation. Trauma-informed mindfulness practice is offered in a short format at the start of the group to support enhanced self-regulation. Emotional sobriety is an important next step in recovery. This group is designed to support understanding, to better equip you in overcoming compulsive thinking and addictive/compulsive behaviors.

"Adult children" refers to anybody who grew up in a home with a personality-disordered or alcholic parent or where an additional pattern of self-disempowerment arose as a result of the child having to adapt from an early age to a tyrannical, inconsistent, and invalidating environment in their family of origin.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction 8 week course - Postponed to 2021 due to CoVid19

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an empirically-supported 8-week psycho-educational group intervention that teaches mindfulness meditation as a health intervention. Jon Kabat-Zinn created it in 1979. MBSR offers participants the possibility to develop a different relationship to stress resulting from chronic physical and psychological illnesses. Research outcomes have demonstrated positive outcomes for both physical and psychological symptoms, as well as changes in health attitudes and behaviours. The 8-week programme includes formal guided practices as well as mindful movement/yoga. It is incremental and each session builds on the next. Participants are asked to commit to 45 minutes of practice a day. The course is co-facilitated with Dr Danielle Klemp.
